Cooking chicken drumsticks or tighs in the oven can be a great alternative to those who don't have access to a BBQ. You can achieve a tender and delicious main dish. Chicken thighs and drums are dark meat packed with flavour!
2-3 tablespoons Grants Gourmet Jerk Seasoning
500 grams Chicken Drumsticks or Tights
1 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper to taste (optional)
Wash and Dab chicken with a paper towel to remove excess moisture
Combine Grants Gourmet Jerk Seasoning with Chicken in a zip lock bag.
Add in olive oil and mix in seasoning thoroughly with chicken so that all surfaces are covered with seasoning.
Marinate Chicken for at least 1/2 hr or longer
Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a pan with foil and place a baking rack on top.
Place on the rack and approx 35-40 minutes or until chicken reaches 165°F.
Broil 2-3 minutes to crisp if needed to give the chicken its beautiful colour.
Allow the chicken to rest and serve with your favorite sides or rice and peas.
